The outstanding Cuban artist Omar Godines Lanso joined the Expert Council of the Golden Chariot Global Award in the "Culture & Art" nomination.
Omar Godines Lanso is a well-known Cuban conceptual and postmodern artist, painter and cartoonist.
Born in Havana (Cuba) in 1953. He graduated from San Alejandro Art College in Havana, completed a degree in Drawing and Painting, and V. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute, completed a degree in Poster, Illustration and Book Design. Was awarded the qualification of graphic artist and the title of Master of Art History. He also graduated from the international silkscreen printing courses at Rene Portocarrero workshop in Havana. He is a member of the International Federation of Artists UNESCO, a curator of the Festival of Ibero-American culture.
Since 1972, Omar Godines has participated in more than 60 exhibitions in many countries of the world. His works are kept in the state museums and private collections in Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, the USA, Russia, Cuba, Japan, Venezuela, etc. He is also known as a translator. He is a permanent member of the jury of a number of competitions.
